WELCOME BACK TO IDEAS DON’T BLEED!
This week, we’re joined once again by Michael Walsh (Comeback / The Oates & The Elphyne) as we discuss his comics origins, doing design work for We Can Never Go Home, his Image Comics series The Silver Coin, and more!
IDB is an all-new weekly podcast presented by Ashcan Press and featuring Matthew Rosenberg, the Supple Boiz, and wonderful guests from the world of comic books!
Our theme song is “Where’s the Poison” by Summer People.
Enjoy!
Hi again.
Time for another episode of our little podcast. Once again we are joined by the multi-talented Michael Walsh, to talk about his life, his loves, and the year he spent trapped on the international space station after stowing away on a Canadian supply rocket on a dare. He truly does live up to his nickname- “Michael Walsh: The Man Who Lived A Thousand Lives.”
Our good buddy Josh Hixson just got hit with some very large vet bills to pay after taking his sweet girl in. So he is selling a lot of original art, on the cheap, to try and cover the costs. So in addition to pages from awesome stuff like SHANGHAI RED and his new smash hit series THE DEVIANT, Josh also has pages from our JOKER PUZZLEBOX story and his issue of WHAT’S THE FURTHEST PLACE FROM HERE?
So you can go grab some original art at a discount, help out a sweet pup, and everyone wins.
Let’s take another trip to the old Mailbox, shall we?
Today’s question comes from Zack J.
Mr. J writes-
“Zack J, recovering comics journalist, any truth to the rumors I just made up that Marvel has optioned your Uncanny X-Men run to get rid of the 20th Century Fox X-Men cast so that they can introduce their own resurrected cast?”
This question was in response to some joke I made, but it takes me so long to get to answering the questions that the context is lost to time now. But I’m going to answer it like it’s a real question anyway because I’m nothing if not thorough.
Yes, Zack. It’s all true.
As always, if you’ve ever wanted to see your name in an email before, you can ask me questions by replying to this email or by commenting below.
Excited to kick the rest of the year’s ass.
That’s it.
Stay safe. Take care of each other. Mondays, amirite?
