IDEAS DON'T BLEED episode thirty-two | Pornsak Pichetshote, part two
Chapter 110: Well, I’m not going that way!
WELCOME BACK TO IDEAS DON’T BLEED!
This week, we’re joined once again by Pornsak Pichetshote (Infidel / Dead Boy Detectives) as we discuss his careers in comics and television, and his Image series The Good Asian!
IDB is an all-new weekly podcast presented by Ashcan Press and featuring Matthew Rosenberg, the Supple Boiz, and wonderful guests from the world of comic books!
Our theme song is “Where’s the Poison” by Summer People.
Hope you had a good weekend. Me and the Supple Men are here to bring you another episode of our podcast IDEAS DON’T BLEED, like we do every Monday. This is part II of our interview with the great Pornsak Pichetshote. If you missed part I you can listen here. Pornsak is a great and very thoughtful writer, and a great person to talk to about his work and writing in general. I really enjoyed this conversation so much and hope you do too. And if you haven’t read any of his work you really owe yourself a read of his excellent detective noir series THE GOOD ASIAN which is getting a beautiful hardcover edition next month.
In other news, someone told me I do a bad job promoting my work on here the other day. That statement is fucking insane to me because sometimes it feels like ALL I DO on here and it’s not a good feeling. But with that said, I will maybe try to do more somehow(?!). So this is me letting you know that WHAT’S THE FURTHEST PLACE FROM HERE? #12 is in comic shops this Wednesday. But before you go get it, today is Final Order Cutoff for issue #13. That means today is the day comic shops order all their copies and it is always wildly helpful to us and them if you call, email, message, or pop in and tell them you want a copy. It helps us sell books. It helps them gauge interest. It helps you guarantee a copy when it comes out. Check out these sweet covers by Tyler Boss, Zoe Thorogood, and Scott Godlewski.
So if you’re up for it, let your local comic shop know you want it now. Like literally right now.
That’s it for me. Have a great week.
Stay safe. Take care of each other. Talk more about the stuff you’re excited about, I guess.
