WELCOME BACK TO IDEAS DON’T BLEED!
This week, we’re joined once again by Tim Seeley (Hack/Slash / Revival) and Tony Fleecs (Stray Dogs / Uncanny Valley) as we discuss their comics origins, keeping their love of the medium alive, the creation of Local Man, and more!
IDB is an all-new weekly podcast presented by Ashcan Press and featuring Matthew Rosenberg, the Supple Boiz, and wonderful guests from the world of comic books!
Our theme song is “Where’s the Poison” by Summer People.
Enjoy!
Hello again.
Excited to bring you Part II of our chat with Tim and Tony. If you missed Part I you can listen to it right here. It is possible that in this week’s episode we break some news about their amazing series LOCAL MAN. We try our hardest here at Ashcan HQ to never break news, but sometimes it just happens and we can’t control it. Or it’s possible that they’ve talked about it other places and I’m an idiot. It was news to me at least. Either way, hope you enjoy the podcast.
And if you’re a fan of LOCAL MAN, STRAY DOGS, FERAL, or anything Tony does make sure you go see him on tour starting this week. He’s going to be gone from home for a long time and it can get pretty grueling, so the more friendly faces and kind words he can see and hear, the better. I’ve posted all the dates below.
Over on our Youtube channel we have put up Part I of our interview with
. Mostly he talks about amusement parks. You’d think that was because he was launching his amusement park themed horror series DARK RIDE, but actually that’s just most of what he talks about. Give it a listen and learn how many consecutive times Josh had to ride the Teacups to give him his much deserved Guinness World Record. (That didn’t happen but I don’t remember what we actually talk about.)And if you enjoyed that make sure to sign up for Joshua’s newsletter. He has a lot of big awesome things coming up, including the excellent G.I.JOE #1 which you should totally preorder right now.
Sign up to make sure you know everything that’s going on. Because knowing is…
good.
Here are Tony’s tour dates. Tell him I sent you. He won’t really know what to do with that information, but it’s a cool thing to say maybe.

Obviously I’m not going to let our 108th podcast go by without also posting a song from one of my all time favorite hardcore bands. This video is… of its time. But 108 still rules and little kid me still thinks fondly of going to see their last show at CBGB’s and having 3 different bands cover Inside Out at the show. I think less fondly of the fact that a hardline dude smacked the chocolate milk out of my hand on Bowery and tried to fight me. But in hindsight he was right. And it was a Nesquick so no great loss.
That’s it for me.
Stay safe. Take care of each other. Off air Josh actually told me he was too scared to ever ride the Teacups.
