IDEAS DON'T BLEED episode fourteen | Alex Paknadel, part two

Chapter 84: If word of this gets out...

WELCOME BACK TO IDEAS DON’T BLEED!

This week, we’re joined once again by Alex Paknadel (Redfork / DC vs. Vampires: All-Out War) as we discuss his career, his work with Matt on DC vs. Vampires, and his new Image series All Against All!

IDB is an all-new weekly podcast presented by Ashcan Press and featuring Matthew Rosenberg, the Supple Boiz, and wonderful guests from the world of comic books!

Our theme song is “Where’s the Poison” by Summer People.

Enjoy!

Hi again!

So here is the second part of our discussion with Alex Paknadel about his process, his life, I make him thank me for DC VS VAMPIRES because I’m a monster, and we dive in on his new book ALL AGAINST ALL. Issue #1 is in stores now and you should definitely go pick it up. If you missed part one you can check it out here or wherever you listen to podcasts.

And remember, we have our fancy as hell Youtube channel up which is now getting updates semi-regularly from the Style Boyz. So if you prefer to “watch” a podcast rather than just “listen” to it, we offer that option now.

Here’s a little taste of Gerry Duggan talking about his new project on Substack.

And if that tickled your fancy, like and subscribe to the channel. I have to say, actually typing “like and subscribe” in earnest is a real gross feeling. At first I thought I was becoming a parody of myself. But now I realize I have moved beyond parody into some sort of post-parody earnestness that is somehow worse. Anyway, like and subscribe if you want so I don’t have to ask you to do that again.

And also you can read the first chapter of Gerry’s book here-

Weird book.

Lastly, I just wanted to share this as we head into the most charitable time of the year. A great comics institution, FAT JACK’S COMIC CRYPT in Philly is in trouble. They have set up a gofundme to keep the doors open and the comics coming in. They are not only Philly’s oldest comic shop, they are one of the oldest in the country. So if you’ve got some money to spare, please consider donating to a legendary place that launched countless love affairs with comics. And if you’re in the Philly area please consider stopping in and doing some holiday shopping. Or do both! Both is good.

Donate!

That’s it for me. Hope you all have a great week.

Stay safe. Take care of each other. Stay warm.
