And if you aren’t reading KAPTARA, STILLWATER, NEWBURN, and PUBLIC DOMAIN you are doing comics all wrong. And of course you can catch the end of his brilliant DAREDEVIL run and what is hopefully just the beginning of his BATMAN run in comic shops right now. I actually had to read one of his upcoming Batman scripts over the weekend and there is a moment in it that is so good I audibly muttered “you asshole” at him, even though I was in my apartment and he was like 600 miles (965.606 kilometers) away. Frustratingly good comics.
Before we all go our separate ways I just wanted to take a minute to promote a comic I’m excited about.
JUST ANOTHER SWAMP SONG is a new comic from writer Danny Djeljosevic and artist CJ Camba. Danny always makes delightfully weird and wild comics that feel like they’re from that era where comics just did whatever the fuck they wanted. And CJ’s art is super fun in here. The book was described to me as "Heathers meets Swamp Thing…" There was a lot more but that was all I needed to know and all you should need to know.
