Hey all.
Hope you’re having a good week. I’ve had a pretty rough one, if I’m being honest. But I finally got a full nights sleep last night so I’m feeling pretty good close to normal.
I was excited to have Aubrey on the show for a few reasons. First, we’ve known each other for a while but never get too much of a chance to really “chat”. Second, I think he’s a great salesman. The energy he brings, the way he thinks about the work, all of it is very fascinating to me. And lastly, I am very intrigued by his new series FREE PLANET. Creatively it is very different from anything he’s ever done and, if I’m being honest, it is very different from so much of the stuff I read. It is dense, massive science fiction full of big ideas, complex politics, and weird characters. So I wanted to pick his brain for a bit, and we ended up going off in a thousand different directions, but I’m glad we did.

As we march ever closer to the release of WE’RE TAKING EVERYONE DOWN WITH US #1 (out next week!!!), I am doing more interviews. This one I did with the great Comics Etc in Queensland, Australia was particularly fun. I am on the tail end of being very sick and pretty sleep deprived, so I sound awful and might say weird stuff. Like I said, fun!
