Quick update today as I have a few bigger posts going out very soon. First of all, this is part two of our interview with the always awesome Frank J. Barbiere. We got a lot of really nice notes about last episode so I hope you all like this one, where we also continue to yell over each other and say dumb stuff to make ourselves laugh. We’re nothing if not consistent.

Also, I was supposed to do this before and forgot. Self promotion is annoying. Anyway, here’s the stuff I have coming out in this month. Joker gets trapped in L.A., the WildC.A.T.S. get in over their heads, and the beautiful second hardcover of TASK FORCE Z drops. You can grab that Joker issue now. It’s a very good time, and we have special guests Ryan Cady and Will Robson stop by for an absurd Joker backup story that is worth the price of admission alone.
And lastly, friend of the podcast and friend in real life Jackson Lanzing and his family recently had a fire destroy their home. I reached out to Jackson to ask what I could do to help, and being the absolute wonderful person that he is, he told me he and his family were doing okay despite everything but his neighbors were hit much harder. They set up a gofundme to help them and I thought I’d share it. If you’ve got some money to spare, this is a nice chance to help some folks in need and extend our little “comics community” beyond just the borders a little bit.
And just because Jackson is kind and generous and refuses help, doesn’t mean you can’t help him out. Pre-order his brand new GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY series, or grab copies of his BATMAN BEYOND, CAPTAIN AMERICA and STAR TREK books, or anything else he’s worked on, from your local comic shop next time you stop in. It’s helps him and you get some nice reading material.
