WELCOME BACK TO IDEAS DON’T BLEED!

This week, we’re joined by Ram V. (The Many Deaths of Laila Starr / Detective Comics) as we discuss his comics origins, reinventing modern mythology, his new Image Comics series The One Hand, and more!

IDB is an all-new weekly podcast presented by Ashcan Press and featuring Matthew Rosenberg, the Supple Boiz, and wonderful guests from the world of comic books!

Our theme song is “Where’s the Poison” by Summer People.

Enjoy!

Hi.

So we taped this one before THE ONE HAND was fully announced and have been sitting on it for a while, so you’ll see how fun it is that we sort of circle around it without being specific. I’m a pro… except when it comes to getting episodes out on time.

Anyway, this is a fun one. I’ve known Ram for years and I always find the way he approaches and thinks about comics so fun. He’s consistently putting out great work and his new series THE ONE HAND just started and is well worth your time. He also has the upcoming DAWN RUNNER, which is sure to be a favorite among people who have good taste.

I hope you enjoy the show and then go buy all of Ram’s books.

As a completely unrelated sidenote, friend of the podcast Dan Watters has a new book launching this week with Sumit Kumar and Lee Loughridge, called THE SIX FINGERS. It’s out this week and well worth your time.

The Six Fingers #1 (of 5) | Image Comics

That’s it for me. Stay safe. Take care of each other. Maybe we shouldn’t tape these so far in advance?
