Oh man!!! Going home and going down the rabbit hole of starship evolution in galaxies that could be far far away! Thank you for the answer(s). Alarm set for Kia Boyz o’clock! and researching if “The Club” is making a come back.

Matt, quick question. For your TALES OF SUSPENSE you named the chapters after mewithoutYou songs. Do you think "IT'S ALL CRAZY, IT'S ALL FALSE, IT'S ALL A DREAM, IT'S ALRIGHT" was a bold but successful departure into Neutral Milk Hotel style folk rock or were you frustrated that the band seemingly abandoned their post-hardcore roots?

I have a question if you care to answer... I really like your storytelling so I'm curious... Do you write as though you're right there inside the story with your characters? Or is it more like inserting certain mechanics to move it along, eg: incident here, character's fear there etc?

I know this is a weird way of looking at things - maybe I just analyse too much while reading!

Matthew, I can't thank you and Tyler enough for offering up these pieces to us working stiffs at such a rate. I had to come back and comment with thanks and also because no one in my own realm understands what a big deal this is. I've been waiting for an opportunity like this to get my first piece of original art for years and I couldn't be happier. After I read what was happening, I checked issue 12 and saw it had the big reveal of the Stranger's face. At 8:59 the next morning I slipped into a stall in the bathroom at work, clicked the link to the sale, and started hitting refresh until the images loaded. I scrolled down, grabbed my page and added it to my cart in total disbelief and awe. $100 for my first page of original art! And what a doosie! I am one very grateful collector. Love you guys forever.

Hey, a couple related questions.

1) Before quitting your day job, how much of the money you made from comics did you invest back into your career, in terms of paying artists, travel expenses, etc.?

2) How did you determine you were earning enough from writing to go full time?
