I couldn't agree more about the 'doing less to do more' principles talked about at the end of this episode. Our industry pushes us to keep piling on more and more projects and it leaves you exhausted both physically, emotionally, and - most importantly - creatively. I've certainly been guilty of saying yes far too many times because I thought it was what I should do for my career and it turns out to be the exact opposite.
I think freelancer life makes it so hard to break that cycle. You end up drowning yourself because you're always worried about needing water in the next drought.
Damn right. I had to turn down a big gig on a huge property yesterday, and it was HARD. Fitting it in would have been harder and would have got in the way of so much more, but still it took me a while to hit send on the email.
