Hi again.
As previously threatened, we are doing our first livestream in just under 2 hours! 6pm EST. That gives you just enough time to make some popcorn, take a shower, get a haircut, do some catching up on work, change your oil, shovel your driveway, replace your toilet, that kind of stuff.
I will of course be joined by Ethan S. Parker and Griffin Sheridan, A.K.A. The Suppz, and the one and only Ryan Stegman of VANISH and VENOM fame! This one is open to anyone who wants to come hang out, shoot us questions in the comments, or just stare at us as we talk to each other IN REAL TIME!
As a fun perk, if you send us a question here or in the comments, and we ask it on the stream, you are automatically entered to win a prize from our wonderful sponsors at THIRD EYE COMICS!
If you don’t know Third Eye you’re screwing up! They’re not just one of the best comic shops in the world, they are a MANY of them. With locations across the D.C./Maryland/Richmond area, they are a must see for anyone who likes comics, games, toys, horror movies, records, or just cool stuff. And if you don’t like cool stuff you should probably still go and fake it. Check out their awesome website for all sorts of deals and exclusives or stop into one of my favorite comic shops ever.
Stay safe. Take care of each other. Livestreams?

I’m not getting in there!
Hello to the Ashcan crew and Ryan Stegman!
I've got two questions for the live chat.
My first question is about the splash page at the start of Vanish #1.
Did you map out The Mists of Everkeep or did Donny just say "Go wild, make it huge!" and you had some fun with it?
Second, what were the influences and vibes you were aiming for with the uniforms that the army of kid wizards wear?
I dig the first issue and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series
Thanks!
-Cody-
In the event that I can’t make it to the stream (though I’m certainly hoping to): I was wondering if Matthew and Ryan could each speak about what they find to be the most challenging aspects of the collaborative process between artist and writer? How do you go about surmounting the inevitable divides between each creator’s vision for what the work will ultimately look like?
