That blender scene in the first DCvV is an iconic one, and equally terrifying. Whoever thought of making a GL a vampire knew what they were doing. Not surprised if he was made one just for that scene.
First issue for the new series was definitely not what I was expecting. My look of surprise almost matched Babs when Hush pulled out that surprise on her. I’m somewhat surprised that you wanted to do that so early on. Not I have no idea what to think and whose calling the shots for the vamps now. Which in hindsight was probably your intention.
Though, in a kinda romantic way, Babs and Dick are finally together again, in death mind you, but together nonetheless. Honestly I’m kinda surprised after she killed him she didn’t decide to end herself just so she didn’t become what he had turned into. Guess the vamp gene changes a person faster than they can stop. Almost makes me glad Bruce is dead. I’d have hated to see what he would have become had he been turned.
Curious if what happened to change Damian from now to the last time we saw him will be shown in the main series or in a side issue?
Do you see this as the closing chapter to DvV, or do you think this universe has a third act trilogy in it perhaps?

Yeah, the new series we wanted to have a different feel. There are some big twists coming and we wanted everyone to know that no one is safe.
As for doing more, we have an ending to this series that we have been planning for a long time. That said, I have discussed doing more with the folks at DC and if they want it I know what it will be. And it's wild. But we have to get through the next 11 issues first.
Well if it’s any consolation, I am in for the long haul. These new elseworld stories from teams like urs or Tom Taylor’s are a breath of fresh air in this world of comics, especially when we are looking for a break from the normal canon.
Just curious, has there been ANY characters legal or editorial said you can’t use or make into a vampire?
I subbed to the YT ages ago, dunno what to tell you! A great start to the podcast - I'm a big fan of the work James's doing for jacksepticeye's ALTRVERSE, combining my favourite YouTuber's character with comics in such a great, and genuinely pitch-perfect funny way. I know it's good when I can hear every joke in Jack's voice
