Thanks for answering Matt. Messes Of Men was one of the first tracks that I just HAD to learn when I started playing guitar and while it's not my favorite track on "Brother, Sister" (that goes to O Porcupine) it is that one locked itself in my mind. I think your analysis is spot on!
