Thanks for sharing what's going on behind the curtain. It's always cool to hear things from the writer's point of view beyond the project they're working on. It feels like the way I wish Wizard had went instead of....well becoming everything fans weren't looking for in a publication aimed at keeping fans interested. However I hope you know that we value the fact that you're willing to allow us a peek inside. So for what it's worth thank you and in the event you have to stop due to deadlines and life, don't stress. You've shown us you're not about that type of ego. Have a great rest of your week Matt.
Thanks for the comments, Tom. And thanks for taking the time to read it. And yes, I like to think I am about a very specific and unique type of ego that is much worse. But I am going to try to put these out semi-regularly, like you said, to hopefully give people a little more behind the scenes. My fear is that I know what goes on behind the scenes and it's painfully dull. But if I have to live with that all the time, you all can put up with it once every 2 or 3 weeks.
Nice work, Matthew. Can't wait to read your Joker issue! And I also put a comic up for free to try and generate some interest (Ahem, Always be plugging: https://www.robinhoodcomicbook.com/). It's working out ok. How's it going for you? You're a little more well-known, so probably a little better. Also, big fan of Hawkeye: Freefall! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the kind words. And I will check out your Robin Hood book tonight. Thanks for sending it along. How's it going for me? Hmmm... Pretty good I guess? Working on some books I love, have my health (mostly), and a roof over my head. So no complaints.
Thanks for the response and for checking out Robin Hood. Obviously, I am concerned for your health, but I was actually asking if you could track if people were checking out the free comic. I use https://flipdocs.com/ to host a PDF of the book and can follow the analytics. I go on reddit and give away a Marvel digital code if people promise to check it out. I get excited when I get 2 views a week!
I actually did get what you meant. I was being "cute" I guess. I don't really try to track how many people read it. If people checked it out and enjoyed it, that's neat. If not, that's less neat, but fine too. I just wanted to give people the option of having a free thing to check out.
Oh my god it’s real
Real-ish.
I was a little intimidated by the agenda. Like, am I prepared for this? Did I do the reading? Will there be coffee and donuts? So many questions.
The nice thing about this class is that the teacher also doesn't want to do the homework.
Excited to see this arrive on a semi chaotic schedule!
I don't know how long I can maintain "semi-chaotic." We might have to go full chaotic at some point soon.

Someone really should use Substack to make a modern version of Wizard… without the bad parts of Wizard.
Love the Joker and Grifter updates! Thanks for the free comic!
Thanks for checking it out, Clay!
