WELCOME BACK TO IDEAS DON’T BLEED!
This week, we’re joined once again by Amy Chu (Poison Ivy: Cycle of Life and Death, Carmilla: The First Vampire) as we discuss her comics origin story, collaborating with musicians, her new Marvel Comics series Emma Frost: The White Queen, and more!
IDB is an all-new weekly podcast presented by Ashcan Press and featuring Matthew Rosenberg, the Supple Boiz, and wonderful guests from the world of comic books!
Our theme song is “Where’s the Poison” by Summer People.
Enjoy!
Hello,
we’re back with Part II of our chat with Amy Chu. If you missed part I you can find it here. It was great to chat with Amy and made me even more excited to pick up her upcoming third volume of CARMILLA with the great Soo Lee.
Meanwhile the YOU’LL DO BAD THINGS vs. WE’RE TAKING EVERYONE DOWN WITH US signing tour continues with 8 more stops to go. Huge thanks to everyone who came out, grab some books, or just share some kind words. It really has meant the world to Tyler and myself.
We’ve signed in some amazing shops, eaten too many burgers, sang along to a lot of Chappell Roan and Mindforce, bought too many comics to bring home, wandered the desert and spit in the ocean, and met hundreds and hundreds of awesome comic fans. Couldn’t ask for a better time.

Over on Kickstarter, my buddy Sina Grace has a really incredible looking new comic about pets, love, and loss.
Sina is an amazing writer and cartoonist and always brings something unique to everything he does. I don’t expect LIFE OF PAWS to be anything less than incredible and you should make sure to grab yourself a copy now.
That’s it for me.
Stay safe. Take care of each other. Do you have any idea how far Oregon is from San Francisco?!
