This one is going to be so quick I am not even going to do a table of contents.
So yesterday I sent out a newsletter on a Sunday night because I wanted to be able to focus on writing work all week. I was sure as I was writing that I forgot something.
Sure enough, I did!
In all my infinite pushing of WHAT’S THE FURTHEST PLACE FROM HERE? #7 being on Final Order Cutoff today I forgot that another book I really love by a creator I really like OK is also on FOC today.
PUBLIC DOMAIN is the new Image Comics series written and drawn by human man Chip Zdarsky. It’s a painfully smart, fun, emotional story about art, family, and the comics industry. I know I’m not doing a good job selling it but you can read a preview here courtesy of the lovely folks at CBR. If you like what you see, preorder the book today as today is the last day your shop can guarantee you a copy.
As always, preordering comics has a huge impact on the life of a series and the income of the creators. Whenever you can do it, you should. Just call, tweet, email, or stop into your local comic shop and tell them you want to preorder the book. Don’t know where your local comic shop is? Comic Shop Locator will sort you out. Not one close by? A quick google search will pull up a lot of comic shops that do mailorder.
So there it is. My selfless newsletter just promoting other people’s work that I believe in. Not even mentioning that you should also preorder WHAT’S THE FURTHEST PLACE FROM HERE? #7 which is on FOC today as well. Or that there is still time to preorder WHAT’S THE FURTHEST PLACE FROM HERE? vol. 1 before it comes out. What a selfless person I am.
”I want to be a field day for the Sundays so they can fuck up my life, embarrass my wife, and leave a bad taste. That striped toothpaste can't remove on Monday mornings. I want to be a target for the dailies so they can show pictures of me with a nude on page three, so lacking in taste. Touched up near the waist, looking as limp as Monday morning.”
Stay safe. Take care of each other. Preorder Public Domain today.
